Dan Garbutt – Head Coach. |

Dan took over in 2006 as club head coach following on from 2 years as the club’s assistant coach.. Dan is heavily involved in Rugby League in the South and currently coaches with the Harlequins RL scholarship academy, where he heads up the under 15 age group, and the Foundation Academy at under 16 level. A former head coach of Gloucestershire Warriors, Dan says that his proudest moment in the game was coaching them to victory in the Challenge Cup over Pennine League premier side Illingworth in Halifax in the 2006 preliminary round. Dan currently works at Oxford University’s sports department as Community Sports Outreach Manager. |

John Hobart - Assistant Coach. |

John has been involved in the club as a player and then coach for over a decade and has, in that time, been a tremendous asset to the club. As a no nonsense, go forward, prop John appeared for Oxford in 7 Varsity matches between 1995 and 2002 and represented England and Great Britain Students. Amongst his extensive playing history, he has appeared for the London Broncos alliance, Hemel Stags, Oxford Cavaliers and Coventry Bears. John is also one of the key figures in OURLFC's successful old boy's club. John, a graduate of Keble college, is a doctor of archaeology. |

Matt Walsh – Assistant Coach. |
|
Matt became the club’s assistant coach in 2006 following a number of years involvement in at OURLFC; in which time he has guested for the team on tour and friendly games as well as being one of the club’s best supporters. Matt is involved with the Oxford Cavaliers club, who play in the Rugby League Conference, as a committee member and coach and brings experience and a passion for the game to the coaching team. Matt played for the Cavs for a number of years before injury curtailed his career. Matt is a level 2 RFL Club coach and it’s hoped that his involvement with the club will help OURLFC to play with the style and panache of Matt’s beloved St Helens. A keen cyclist and former county squash player Matt works as a Barrister based in Oxford. |
